Si Ming-fa, the grandson of the executed Lu-chuan bandit Si Ren-fa, who had been forwarded by the Vice Commissioner-in-chief Mu Zan, regional commander of Yun-nan, arrived at the capital. The Ministry of War stated: "Ming-fa is the remnant spawn of a rebellious bandit. Although he is not being executed, he cannot be settled in the capital. It is requested that in accordance with the precedents governing surrendering yi, consideration be given to appointing him as a chieftain and transferring him to the Deng Subprefecture Guard on the coast, with a monthly allowance of two shi of rice." This was approved.
