As they had been commissioned to investigate the situation in Annam and been ordered to deploy troops in the expedition against the Li of Ya-zhou, it was commanded that the chief officials of the prefectures of Tai-ping, Nan-ning, Wu-zhou and Si-en in Guang-xi be exempted from coming to Court.
