The Ministry of Rites memorialized 11 proposals in respect of the examination and selection of translation students: ".....11. All the teachers and students of the Ava-Burma department have died. The grand defender and grand coordinator should be instructed to carry out wide enquiries so as to find replacements." These proposals were approved by Imperial command.
