The Jing-yuan Earl Wang Ji advised: "Luo Xuan, deputy regional commander of Gui-zhou and Zhai Xiang (Alt: Zhai Heng), the commander of Jiu-qi Guard in Hu-guang both died in battle during the attack on Meng-yang. They were loyal, righteous and commendable. It is requested that they be given posthumous rewards to encourage those in future." It was ordered that Xuan be posthumously promoted to regional commissioner and that Xiang (Alt: As above) be posthumously promoted to assistant regional commissioner, that they have sacrifices conferred upon them, that the families have rice conferred upon them in sympathy and that their son or grandson be promoted two grades.
