Previously, Han Gai-fa, the pacification superintendent of the Mu-bang Pacification Superintendency, memorialized requesting that he be given the areas of Zhe-lan and Jing-xian on the borders of Long-chuan. The memorial was sent to the Ministry of War and a despatch was sent requiring an investigation and verification of the matter. Before a report was forthcoming, Han Gai-fa's son Han Luo-fa and Tao-meng Si Wai-fa suddenly led troops to occupy the area. The Long-chuan Pacification Commissioner Dao Wai-meng and so on complained to the Yun-nan regional commander and other officials. Mu Lin and so on sent officials to instruct both to look to their own affairs. The area of Di-ma was carved off Long-chuan and given to Mu-bang, while the remainder of the territory was returned to Long-chuan. At this time, Lin and the others advised of these arrangements. They were approved.
