The Gong-shun Marquis Wu Ru-yin memorialized, advisin: "In Guang-dong there are still 'red yi' cannons (紅夷神器). We should obtain them to strengthen defences in the capital." An Imperial order was issued noting: "In Guang-dong, there are still 10 of the 'red yi' cannons. Have the grand coordinator and the regional inspector of that province send officials to forward them to the capital by a set date."
