The chieftain La-ya and others who had been sent by the Ava-Burma Superintendency in Yun-nan, came to Court to offer tribute of tribute of elephants, gold and silver utensils and local products. Paper money, biao-li of variegated silks, suits of clothing and other goods were conferred upon them. It was also ordered that La-ya and the others take Imperial orders as well as biao-li of variegated silks to confer, on their return, upon the native official and his wife.
