The chieftain Diao Han-fu (Alt: Dao Han-fu) and others who had been sent by the Che-li and Laos Military and Civilian Pacification Superintendencies in Yun-nan offered tribute of elephants, horses, gold and silver utensils and other goods. Paper money, biao-li of variegated silks, suits of silk gauze clothing, and other goods were conferred upon them. It was also ordered that they take Imperial orders as well as variegated silks to confer, on their return, on the native officials and their wives.
