The Lu-jiang Pacification Office was placed under the jurisdiction of the Yun-nan Provincial Administration Commission. Initially, Lu-jiang and Wan Dian were both chief's offices under Jin-chi. During the Yong-le reign (1403/24), Wan Dian was raised to a subprefecture. The chief Dao Jing-fa was appointed as subprefectural magistrate and the office was placed under the jurisdiction of the Yun-nan Provincial Administration Commission. Lu-jiang was also raised to a Pacification Office but remained under Jin-chi. At this time, the Pacification Officer Nang Bi sent his/her son to offer tribute and memorialize a request that the jurisdiction be changed, to provide convenience. This order was accordingly issued.
