Native officials from the three pacification superintendencies of Mu-bang, Lu-chuan/Ping-mian and Ava-Burma, the three prefectures of Meng-ding, Jing-dong and Wu-sa, the seven subprefectures of Wei-yuan, Guang-yi, Zhen-kang, Wan Dian, Nan Dian, Da-hou and Teng-chong, the Lu-jiang Pacification Office and the four chief's offices of Gan-yai, Cha-shan, Wa Dian and Meng-lian all offered tribute of elephants, horses and local products. The eunuch official Yun Xian and others had been sent to confer Imperial orders of comfort on them and also to confer upon them ramie-silk, silk gauzes and velvet brocades as appropriate. At this time, the Mu-bang Pacification Superintendent Han Men-fa memorialized that the Lu-chuan/Ping-mian Pacification Superintendent Si Ren-fa and others had attacked and occupied his territory. Si Ren-fa and Mang De-la, the pacification superintendent of Ava-Burma, also memorialized that Han Men-fa had used troops to invade their territory and commit depradations. The Meng-lian Chief's Office also memorialized that Meng-ding Prefecture had attacked and occupied its territory. The Emperor ordered the regional commander and Qian-guo Duke Mu Sheng, the three offices of Yun-nan and the regional inspecting censor to ascertain the veracity of the claims and to decide the cases appropriately. The Meng-yang Pacification Superintendency was re-established and Dao Meng-shu, the son of Dao Meng-dan, the deceased pacification superintendent, was appointed as pacification superintendent, and required, together with the deputy Dao Yu-bin, to pacify the soldiers and people and to fulfil tribute obligations and pay taxes like before.
