The Commissioner Wang Zhong and others who had been despatched by the Feng-cheng Marquis Li Bin, regional commander of Jiao-zhi, captured the bandit leader Yang Gong. Earlier, Gong had arrogated to himself the title of king/prince (王), gathered a force and engaged in rebellion. The Imperial army was then sent to pursue him. Although Gong was defeated, he fled and could not be taken. At this time, the Imperial army captured his uncle Du Gu (Alt: Du Du), who then acted as guide. They pursued Gong to Xia-shan County in Xin-an Prefecture, where they captured him. He was subsequently sent in fetters to Bei-jing.
