The Prefect Huang Guang-cheng of Si-ming Prefecture in Guang-xi presented a memorial stating: "Our prefecture borders Annam. Lu Subprefecture, Xi-ping Subprefecture and Yong-ping Stockade have been ours since ancient times. In recent years, Annam has repeatedly raised troops and invaded these areas and rashly occupied them. Now we have a Sage ruler and all the ancient systems are now being respected. Considering that our territory has been passed down for generations, we now humbly seek Imperial grace in fixing the border. If Annam was instructed to return our territory to us, we would be fortunate indeed." The Emperor accepted (納) the memorial.
