The two military and civilian pacification superintendencies of Ba-bai/Zhe-nai and Ba-bai/Da-dian were established. The native ruler Dao Zhao-ni was appointed as pacification superintendent of Ba-bai/Zhe-nai and his younger brother Dao Zhao-san was appointed as pacification superintendent of Ba-bai/Da-dian. The Vice Director Zuo Yang was sent to go and confer upon them the patents, seals, headwear and robes. Also, envoys were sent to confer the same items upon the pacification superintendencies of Lu-chuan/Ping-mian, Ava-Burma and Laos, and the prefectures and subprefectures of Meng-ding, Bo-le and Wei-yuan.
