On this day, the Vice Commissioner-in-chief Fang Zheng, who was in charge of the Jiao-zhi Regional Military Commission, led troops to punish the bandits. They did battle with Li Li in Cha-long Subprefecture, Yi-an Prefecture. The Chang River Guard Vice Commander Wu Yun was killed in the fighting. Yun had his origins in Ding-yuan, Feng-yang. Initially, as vice commander of the Jing-zhou Escort Guard, he accompanied the expedition to Jiao-zhi. In breaking through at Po-lei and Ai-liu and in taking the city of Duo-bang, as well as in the attacks on the Eastern and Western capitals, he realized achievements. After Jiao-zhi was pacified, he was transferred to the Chang River Guard. He continued to accumulate merit through battle and, for bringing people to surrender and allegiance, he was rewarded on several occasions. At this time, in the battle with Li, he went deep into the fighting and was cut down. When the event was advised, it was ordered that the Ministry of Rites provide funeral expenses.
