Mo Sui, the prefect of Liang River Prefecture in Jiao-zhi, was promoted to administration vice commissioner of the right in the Jiao-zhi Provincial Administration Commission and was rewarded with 50 liang of silver, 500 guan of paper money and five biao-li of variegated silks. Ruan Ru-ou, a battalion vice commander of Jiao-zhou Central Guard, was promoted to assistant guard commander and rewarded equally with Sui. Mo Xun, the magistrate of Liang River Subprefecture was promoted to assistant administration commissioner of the right, and Chen Ru-shi, an assistant commander of the Jiao-zhou Left Guard, was promoted to vice commander of the guard. Mo Yuan, the prefect of Xin-an Prefecture was also promoted. These people were all rewarded at a level one-fifth below that of Sui's reward. Sui and the others were all local Jiao-zhi people. When the Great Army reached the border, these people were the first to return to allegiance. They punished the bandits and pacified the people. Previously, it was decided to reward their achievements and the Xin-cheng Marquis Zhang Fu, regional commander, appointed them to posts as appropriate. At this time, they came to Court and they were promoted and rewarded on the basis of their achievements. The remaining people Pei Ru-long and others, a total of 24 persons, were appointed as battalion or company commanders of various guards and Imperial orders of encouragement were conferred upon them. The Emperor personally composed a poem to confer upon Sui and the others.
