On this day, the Heir Apparent ...appointed Qiao Wen as Minister of the Bei-jing Pasturage Office. Formerly, for his achievements in city defence, Wen had been promoted to vice minister of the left in the Ministry of Justice. Later, for involvement in an offence, he was banished to Jiao-zhi. At this time, in consideration of his previous achievements, he was again summoned for employment.
