The Yun-nan Grand Coordinator and Deputy Censor-in-chief of the Right Wang Mao-zhong advised of four matters: "1. Yun-nan has an establishment of two eunuch directors as grand defender and regional commander. An additional two eunuch director positions have been established as grand defender and assistant regional commander of Jin-chi/Teng-chong. Jin-chi/Teng-chong is a corner of land in the north-west of Yun-nan. There are fewer than 10,000 troops there and less than 100 or 200 families. The harsh levies and demands on these people have brought them extreme difficulty. It is requested that the official posts of Jin-chi/Teng-chong grand defender and so on be abolished...." An Imperial command was issued reprimanding him for making vague statements and careless claims and requiring him to provide specific details.
