Formerly, Feng Wai-fa, the native-official magistrate of Da-hou Subprefecture in Yun-nan, had been captured by Si Ren-fa, and the Jing-yuan Earl Wang Ji had Feng Wai-fa's younger brother Dao Feng-song represent him as subprefectural magistrate. When Lu-chuan was pacified, Feng Wai-fa was able to return and, together with Dao Feng-song, jointly administered the affairs of the subprefecture. At this time, their younger brother Dao Feng-ban and others whom they had sent, came to Court and offered tribute of silver utensils and horses. They also memorialized that the gold warrant and verification tally which had been originally conferred on the subprefecture had both been carried off, and requested the conferral of replacements. This was approved. A banquet as well as biao-li of variegated silks and other goods, as appropriate, were conferred upon them. It was also ordered that Dao Feng-ban take Imperial orders, ramie-silk, silk gauzes and other goods to take back to confer on Feng Wai-fa, Dao Feng-song and the wives.
