The investigating censor Zhang Zhong, regional inspecting censor of Guang-dong, memorialized: "The envoy Nai Ai-na-bei-la and others who had been recently sent by Siam, sailed here across the ocean to come to Court and offer tribute of local products. Their interpreter Ma-sha and others came ashore and then the ship was driven off by the wind and waves and its present situation is unknown." As the amount of local products they had was only small, the Emperor took pity on them and ordered that Ma-sha and so on be well looked after and sent back to their country.
