The Minister of War Wang Ji, chief minister of the Court of Judicial Review and concurrently supreme commander of Yun-nan military affairs, and others, memorialized: "Yun-nan is distant and wild and the man and the yi regularly engage in plunder and disturbance. Now that the Great Army is returning, we should send the regional commissioners Hu Zhi, Li Sheng and others, a total of nine persons, to separately guard the eight areas, including Jin-chi and Meng-hua." The Emperor said: "Approved". Imperial orders were also sent to Mu Ang requiring him to strictly supervise these persons.
