Rewards were conferred upon the government troops proceeding from Bei-jing on expedition to Jiao-zhi. The rewards were as follows: commissioners-in-chief 2,000 guan of paper money; military commissioners 1,000 guan; guard commanders 900 guan; battalion commanders and guard judges 800 guan; company commanders and battalion judges 700 guan; platoon commanders and so on 600 guan. Also 80 suits of clothing made from ramie-silk and silk gauzes were given to the An-yuan Marquis and Regional Commander Liu Sheng. These were all pre-departure rewards.
